NSF Staffers Fired for Surfing Porn
Jan 30th, 2009 by Nick
From MSNBC:
According to the report, one senior staff member spent as much as 20 percent of his time during a two-year period at lurid sites and in sexually explicit chat rooms. That time cost taxpayers more than $40,000, the report stated.
Other employees were also alleged to have watched, downloaded and e-mailed porn.

Grassley said he is pushing for more information about the National Science Foundation because he’s concerned the issues in the report speak to a wider, cultural problem at the agency.

so, having an active interest in sex and being a voyeur is a cultural problem? Not just any cultural problem, but a wider one…. because the agency is a culture unto itself….. and we cant go around firing people for time-sheet fraud and violations of government regulations…. because this is clearly a culture issue.
Interesting !! and this just after the “Jello” wrestling incident.
Was it a real NSF person or a contractor or grantee?
The media often gets these things confused just like anything happening in Antarctica is automatically at the South Pole.
Surfing porn in Antarctica?……..if you have ever lived in Antarctica you would understand the hardships. Crappy food, frozen nutt sacks, stupid B.S. coming from NSF or the contractor, and lets not forget bearded ladies! Yes, I too have surfed porn in Antarctica! The NSF would have saved 40,000 if they just opened up a whore house. Maybe they could call it Poondoggle!
