On the matter of NSF potentially canceling the August Winfly flights without regard for present employee contracts ending in August, Denver HR wrote (last week):
For employees that choose to leave on the flight next week, they are choosing to resign and therefore will not get their summer or extended season bonuses per the Terms of Agreement….We will continue to pass along information regarding WINFLY date modifications and any program changes as we have them.
At least one employee who consulted an attorney was advised that, if you choose to get on Thursday’s plane, it is not in your interest to sign a resignation letter. It may interfere with your eligibility for unemployment, and for any legal recourse you have for getting your bonus back.
