The design was made up and drawn by two of our guys. We have 60 winterovers this year, and they were joking about how we should greet the first plane with one person holding an axe and 59 little crosses wedged in the snow. That grew into the pole marker design since each winterover can own the concept of living with 59 wankers. Not a lot going on at Pole right now. The usual management stuff. People who had a daily routine of hanging funny comics in the galley and posting funny pictures on the Pole webpage were told to make sure their choices were professional and not offensive in any possible way, so those people have decided that it’s easier to just stop doing it.
