The first reference is from Duffy. If you read the rest of the transcript, you might find a few more, um, inaccurate statements.
The next one is just a case of using the wrong word to describe something. Teachers make mistakes too.
I looked through the first five pages on Google and didn't see the third one, but it looks like a case of sloppy language (aboard the Coast Guard ship is the correct term and then they use it again for McMurdo).
So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you see "aboard" McMurdo Station it is either sloppiness or ignorance.
